A curated list of toys and products that my family has personally used and that we love.
Lamaze Glow Rattle
My daughter adores her glow rattle and she continues to play with it at 15+ months. She teethes on the yellow nubs and shakes the rattle to change the glow light to red, blue and green.
TicKit Light Table with Adjustable Brightness
We regularly use our Tickit light table to help make things easier to see for my daughter. The adjustable brightness is a convenient feature.
View-Thru Geometric Solids
These are great for use with a light table.
Elmo Mini Plush Toy
A 10″ Elmo toy that’s bright red, single colored, soft and cuddly.
My First Crayola Touch Lights, Musical Doodle Board
What we love about this toy is that the music can be turned off and on separate from the lights. The gel texture is perfect for little fingers and exploration.
Munchkin Miracle 360 Cup
What we love most about this clever cup is that the water doesn’t spill out and it comes in a variety of fluorescent colors. We have the hot pink one!
Airex Corona Exercise Mat
This has been my favorite purchase yet. My toddler and I spend so much time on the mat doing our daily exercises, tummy time and various therapies. It’s water-repelling and easy to clean. It’s the same one my daughter’s physiotherapist uses.
LED Fingerlights
Can be used to draw attention to toys and objects like a child’s spoon. They attach easily with the rubber band that comes with each one or with the use of velcro.
Crib Mobile
You can hang your own CVI-friendly ornaments to this mobile. I use shiny plastic tree ornaments on mine. This gives my daughter plenty of time to look at something that is CVI-friendly while she’s lying in bed.
Plastic Red Tree Ornaments
Plastic red tree ornaments ideal for children functioning in Phase 1 on The CVI Range.
Black Foam Boards
Perfect for presenting objects against a solid black background to reduce visual complexity.
