This post is part of a mini blog series documenting four weeks of Constraint-induced Movement Therapy (CIMT).
With only one week left in my daughter’s Constraint-induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) program, we expect to see some improvement to date. And we do! Since today is Friday, she is having her arm placed in a new cast. I’ll take this opportunity to report on some of the progress we are seeing. Below is a before and after video.
Playing with shiny ribbon
Why shiny ribbon, you ask? It’s one of those things my daughter sees best due to her Cortical Visual Impairment, or CVI. The “before” video was taken on day 1 of CIMT and the “after” video was taken on day 9. In the “after” video, she is more easily extending her left arm.
